Beach Bums

Maddie was chasing the swans, the kids thought they were so awesome.

Dylan thinks he is pretty cool stuff. We had a great time.

Maddie the little sun goddess.

Here is a nice photo of the swan. They were really pretty.

Macy was so happy camping, she loved everything about it.

Splash Universe

We went to Shipshewanna last Friday with Oberlins. The kids had a blast playing, they were so tired when we left, they all fell asleep at 7pm that night.

This picture got blurrry, oops.

Dylan was showing off his muscles for the camera. He was nervous of the big slides at first, but then he loved them. He is the more cautious of our 3 kids.

Here we were enjoying Aunt Tina's birthday cake, Macy was in charge of picking out the cake.

The boys were racing down the slides.

Dylan was a little monkey on this toy. He loved it, when he could not reach with his legs he would just swing across the ropes.

Preschool Graduation

Dylan had his preschool graduation on Friday night. He did a great job. Grandpa and Grandma Gurtner, Nana and Mom and Dad all came to watch them perform skits from Old McDonald's Farm.
Here is Dylan with his friends Xavier, and Issac. All the boys will be at the same school next year.

Daddy had to leave early for work, but atleast he made it to the program.

Here he is during his part of the performance. He was Bah Bah Black Sheep.

Little Runners

The kids have been integued with my running that I have been doing this Spring in preparation for my mini Marathon on June 6th. So I got my distance in yesterday morning and decided to let them do the Relay for Life run at DeKalb Highschool. Maddie loved it, Dylan feel asleep on the way and then was super grumpy. It was good for them.

Fun at Kindergarten

Joel and his friends were getting ready to tie die.
Maddie was done and was off playing on the equipment.

She knew the answer to this question.

I have had the opportunity to help in Maddie and Joel class a few times this year. This week we made Tie Die shirts out on the playground. When they were done they got to go play on the playground. It is hard to believe they are almost done with school, it has went by so quickly.

Mother's Day

We had luch at great grandma Call's for Mother's Day. Nana got her an icecream maker as her gift. The kids had to try it out right away...Papa makes the best icecream ever.
Dylan was getting ready to go bull frog hunting. There at tons at the Call's pond. They were however no sucessful. Macy is too loud.

Here the kids were saying why they loved their mom at church.

Here are the frog hunters, grandma had the right tools, it just never worked out for them.

Part of grandma Linda's gift was Daddy working on her landscaping. My job was keeping the kids entertained, they loved riding in the wheel barrel.

Sleeping outside

We got our new playhouse from Dave and Lorri a couple of weeks ago. The kids made me sleep outside in it with them. I froze to death, but I did make sure that they were warm enough. Dylan and Maddie have the top bunks. It is the cutest thing, we love it, thanks Christliebs for building it. I will post photos of the outside soon.

Fireside Friends

We had the Knox's over last weekend, the kids wanted to start a bonfire, we got a little carried away. The kids were shielding thier faces because it was so hot.
Avery was patiently waiting for her marshmellow. Thane was listening intently to something that Dylan was saying.

Mike was being a good dad and cooking marshmellows, he was even braving the heat.

Joel was licking the sticky stuff off his fingers.

Dylan looked pretty happy to be sharing the fire with his friends.

Our church had a Mother's Day celebration last night. It was call the Spring Fling, they had a table set up just for the little girls. We are looking a little rough here, we had a T-Ball game right before the dinner. The kids performed a couple of songs for entertainment. They were all so cute. Here are Macy and Maddie at their little table. Maddie informed all of the little girls to get their pinkies up, Nana would have been so proud.

Here are all of the little girls that performed. They were super cute and they all did really well. Macy was pretty impressed with the microphone.

Morgan said, "take a picture of me," how could I resist. Besides someday she is going to be my daughter in-law, Dylan is planning to marry her, or so he says.

Avery, Maddie and Macy are looking so pretty.

T-Ball Season

Dylan and Olivia are enjoying a post game hotdog. They really are excited about the free hotdog and pop. My kids like this part of the game the best.

Maddie was trying to cuddle with Dylan for a picture. Dylan was not very impressed.
Macy was sitting there watching all of her friends play, next year she will be old enough.

Dylan loves Gavin. Even though Gavin is a couple of years older than Dylan he is super nice to him. Dylan is in heaven with Gavin and Dawson on his team.

I am not sure what Maddie was talking about but Maddie was pretty serious about it.

Breaking out the water.

Macy was chilly after running through the sprinkler. She was faking sleep.
The cold water was a definet shock to the system. I thought they were nuts but they sure had fun.

Dylan was modeling the his new swim suit. Dawson got it for him, so naturally it is the coolest thing ever.

Maddie also had one of her new suits on too. Aunt Tina got it for her birthday.

Papa's Birthday

Dylan was the most excited kid ever when he gave Neal his gift.
He had lots of help blowing out the candles.

Papa was roughing the kids up.

We always try to get together to celebrate everyones birthday. The kids like any kind of celebration and we use any excuse we can think of to have a party. It was excellent weather, the kids got to play outside and that was the best part for them. Dylan picked out Supersoakers for Papa to take camping with us. We can't wait to start camping, but the weather is not cooperating.
