Sledding with Daddy

Dylan is all rosy from the cold weather.
The best part of playing int he snow is cookies and hot chocolate when you come in.

Maddie and Daddy were spinning around in the driveway. She said she was dizzy when they got done.

Dylan was all smiles when Mike was pulling him in the sled.

Macy did not want to ride in the sled, so Mike made me go with her. When I was done, she decided she liked it by daddy better.

Home Sweet Home

At the begining of the week we had ice every morning, we even got a delay out of it. Yeah!!! Our house looked really pretty with all of the ice on the trees.

Olivia turns 5!!

Here Livy is blowing out her candles with Merry Hart the clown.
This was what Maddie wanted painted on her face. She was supposed to be Hannah Montana.

Olivia's face looked awesome. She was the queen of purple.

The kids were playing Happy Birthday on the bells for Olivia. It was a rough rendition, but the thought was what counted.

We had Olivia's Birthday party this evening, the girls all had a fun time. She had a clown and Hannah Montana party all in one. The face painting was really cool. Maddie had a great time, she said it was the best birthday party ever. Livy seemed to really enjoy everyone at her party and all of the gifts. Thanks Olivia for inviting us.

Upward Basketball

We had our first ever basketball game today. It was an interesting experience. The girls only had 3 practices and a few of them are kindergartners and had never played before, so needless to say they were a little confused. They definetly looked really cute and they did really funny things.

Sledding in the neighborhood

Michael grew up in such a neat neighborhood. We just showed up in his neighbors yard to sled down his hills. We didn't ask or make a big production, and that is great with them, they love watching another generation grow up. We had a fun time, but it was just me and the kids, it would have been a lot more fun if daddy could have been there. We will try again tomorrow.

Macy's Haircut

Well, Maddie has made it 6 years without cutting her own hair. Macy however has cut hers twice now. This morning I gave the girls a quick hair trim and Dylan a haircut with our new awesome clippers. So this evening Macy decided to give it a try too. She now has bangs. I was adamant that my girls would never have bangs because they are so hard to grow out. Macy's always had the bad hair of the family anyway, now it is really a hacked up mess. I love little girls with long pretty hair. She really looks like a rug rat. I guess we will have to get someone to fix it better than I did, my skills are limited to trims of 2 inches or less. It still looks pretty cute in pig tails thankfully. She was really proud of it too. What a stinker.

Happy New Years

Dylan is sporting his nice hat to celebrate the New Year.
The girls are hanging out in their comfy pjs. It was really relaxing.

Joel and Dylan loved their Leapsters. They played them for hours.

We had a quite evening at home with the Knox family to celebrate New Years. We did not even stay awake to see the ball drop. It was kind of a bummer. But we are having adult night this weekend so that will make it a little better.

Christmas One More Time

Decorating gingerbread cookies with our cousin Christa
Dylan is opening one of his presents from Aunt Lynn, she spoils the kids more than I do. By next Christmas she will have her own grandkid so things may change a little.

Maddie got some new ornaments for her own tree. They were iceskates, she got iceskates that last two years from Santa, her feet keep growing.

We had one more Christmas with my mom's family this week. I cannot seem to get the house put back together after the kids get more gifts. Today I feel miserable but that is my goal. Get organized and hopefully put some Christmas stuff away. Anyway, what a great holiday season we had. It is hard to imagine getting back into the swing of things with school and extra-cirriculars again next week. I have had so much fun relaxing and playing with the kids. They are growing so fast, I wish we could slow it all down some.
