Life is full of fun and excitement with the Oberlin kids. We are so proud of our kids and excited to share all of that with you. Michael and Nikki

We had fun attending Trine University's fundraiser for Miss Brooklyn. They ahd a mechanical bull and Dylan and Maddie loved riding it......over and over and over and over. Here Brooklyn is giving it try.
Brooklyn is showing off here great pink cowboy hat, it was signed by the band. I think pink is definetly her best color.

The kids were getting ready for concert. This was not the way they were for most of the concert, they were dancing fools, they were so tired. Avery barely got out of the building before falling asleep. It was a really fun night.

Making Syrup

The little girls were looking out the window, watching everyone stack wood. Aleigha cracked me up, here little eyes barely reached the window.
Gavin and Dylan jumped right in to help pass the wood. They were really concentrating on this pass, Dylan even had his tongue out, that is his thinking pose.

The girls were warming up by the cooker. The smell was great in the room, the steam was everywhere, it was like an appetizer of what was to come when we ate lunch.

Playing at the Park

We met Megan and the Evelyn at the park after Ft. Wayne yesterday. Olivia and Maddie were trying to convince us they needed to stay together but I took my three tired kids home. Unfortunately, we froze and there were naughty kids throughing the rubber mulch at us, it makes me laugh not that I am over wanting to rough them up. I am so ready for Spring.

Chuckie Cheese

Macy spent all of her token taking pictures of herself and riding rides so she talked me into buying her cotton candy.
Dylan is focused on the finish line, the horse is always a big hit with my kids.

Joel won a ton of tickets, each time he won some he had to put them into the ticket counting machine, even if he only won 2 tickets. It was pretty funny.

Kylie is helping Avery punch the ducks. Olivia is also playing.

This was the girls table. They were having their lunch and talking about what to do next.

Chuckie Cheese was not busy, I think it was a first. The kids were all really good. Kylie and I got to talk while they played. It was one of the little things I am doing to try and make their break a little special. Hopefully tomorrow we can play outside and ride bikes. The warmer weather has been a nice change.

Making Maple Syrup

Macy was just hanging out, taking in the atmosphere.
Maddie was really excited to see that Danielle was home on Spring Break. They were gettng ready to take a batch off, Maddie was giving her opinion. She always does.

Maddie was checking the buckets, they did not have to gather this day, they are almost done with this season, we just have our open house to go to on Sunday.

The kids have been getting to play with Brock some and they are loving it. He is so darn cute, have I mentioned I REALLY want another baby. Look at the sweet, adorable face.

Dylan always likes things to be complicated, so he had to check this bucket because it was the tricky one, after the picture he fell down the bank, there were no injuries though. He is a little clumsy.

We have spent a couple of days over Spring Break at our families sugar camp out by Garrett. It is really neat to watch the kids run all over the same woods that my cousins and I played in when we were little. They love having hot pancakes and fresh syrup, but the really love just running around and climbing the wood pile and trees. It is so nice letting them have the freedom to run around and not having to worry about them. We had Gavin, Whittney and Aleigha come out one day too, but I forgot my darn camera that day. Dylan and Gavin loved playing outside. Boys are so great at entertaining themselves.

Pokagan

I like to try and do something special on their actual birthday with each of the kids. We were really lucky this year to have such terrific weather for Maddie's day. We took advantage of it by going to Pokagan to bike and hike. The kids even played at the beach for a while. It felt a little early to be washing sand out of their hair, but oh well. We had a great time. Maddie got a new bike from grandma and grandpa. It was bigger than her other one so she had to work for a little while to get used to it. Dylan and Maddie have been riding without training wheels since last summer so our goal is to get Macy there by the time we leave for our summer vacation. Not having training wheels would speed her up a ton, its hard to keep track of everyone because Maddie and Dylan really take off.

Good Morning Birthday Girl

Maddie woke up so happy on her birthday. She had a birthday that just would not end, she actually had more of a birthday week. She was singing so loud that she woke Macy up early, they were looking forward to our day at Pokagan.

Maddie Turns 6

OOPs this one is super fuzzy, my camera was a little messed up this night.
The girls were all checking out the gift that Whittney got for Maddie. She got her the coolest scrap book I have ever seen for a little girl. It is made by Usborn. ( Whittney's mom sells Usborn if you are interested.)

Maddie and Maggie thought they were so cool in their sunglasses. I admit they looked really cute, they even danced and sang in them.

Maddie thought she was striking a pose just like in the movie. All of the girls had their HSM appareal on for the night. Bre even had a coat that was HSM.

We celebrated High School Musical style all evening on Friday. Maddie had so much fun with her friends, they sang in the microphone to all of the HSM tunes, and danced the night away on the HSM stage. You can see from the picture Nana made an awesome cake. We had a pinata and the girls watch HSM 1-3 throughout the evening. They also did the make-up and nails a million times, sorry fellow moms I realized after the fact that I was out of remover. This group of girls were so easy, they all got along great and played together really well. They played house and pretended they were going to the beach, this was a little rough on my beach towel supply, good thing I am getting my new dryer this afternoon.

We had cake and icecream with the Auld's on Thursday night so the kids could celebrated with great grandpa and grandma. We are so lucky to have such a great extended family. Maddie was not too impressed with the frog cake but Dylan loved it. He has had a birthday that just wont end.

Swimming at the YMCA

We went to family day at the YMCA and went swimming, we usually go to Auburn but the kids loved Angola, they have a huge hot tub and waterslide. It was fun, even little Macy was going down the slide by herself, she will be our dare devil of the group, Dylan was scared of the slide. All three kids did do a great job swimming though, I was really proud of them all.

Dylan Turns 5

The boys are all settled in after a long night of playing hard. They stayed up until 12:00am.
The boys hits pinata a million times, and Mike still had to cut it to get in started for them. They were really funny, and it actually ended up keeping them busy for quite a while.

This picture made me laugh, I did not realize that everyone helped Dylan blow out the candles until I downloaded the pictures. I forgot to order a horse cake so I had to just buy one. Kris usually makes them but it did not work out this time.

The boys were settling in for some pizza.

Dylan got to have a sleep over for his 5th birthday. We did a Wild West theme. They had a horse pinata, searched for treasure, played games and just had fun playing together. He had 5 friends stay and they had so much fun. Mike took pictures of the basement when they were done because we had never seen anything like it. Baily was the babysitter and she cleaned it up for me, she is the best!!!!

Valentine Party

I had decided that our kids were too spoiled and I was not going to do anything crazy for Valentines Day this year, but what can I say, we love to celebrate. Maddie crawled into Mike and I's bed and said Happy Valentines Day, I love you. Then she followed up with what is Valentines Day anyway, so I showed her and I made them a special dinner and had the table all set in theme for them. It was really fun and they were very appreciative.

Go Upward

Grandpa and Grandma came to watch Maddie play basketball toward the end of the season. She really did learn a ton, and the team improved so much from their first practice, it was pretty amazing.
